North CarolinaFrom the East we have the Atlantic Ocean presenting miles of beaches to enjoy, from the South we have South Carolina and Georgia, from the West we have Tennessee, and from the North there is Virginia. In the middle of all this we have North Carolina, a place that was named in honor of Charles I of England and bore our 11th (James K Polk) and 17th (Andrew Johnson) Presidents of the United States. We are also known for the “Research Triangle” composed of the University of North Carolina, North Carolina State University, and Duke University three great schools.
We are not only known for those great things, we have a generally mild climate, amazing views of the Great Smoky Mountains, and Blue Ridge Parkway both abundant with wildlife. We also have numerous historical sites such as the Old Salem Restoration in Winston Salem, Fort Raleigh National Historic Site on Roanoke Island, the Wright Brothers National Memorial at Kitty Hawk and Guilford Courthouse and Moores Creek National Military Parks, just to mention a few for you history buffs. We also offer hiking, Biking, Golfing, Fishing, and Camping, it really doesn’t matter what your interests are North Carolina has something for everyone.
