The 15th Annual Winterfest celebration kicks-off November 1st - 4th and continues through February 28, 2005. This four month city wide festival celebrates the magic of the season in Smoky Mountain style. Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville will "flip the switch" to light over 6 million sparking lights and patriotic displays, including eagles in flight, dancing snowflakes and other seasonal displays, that are the benchmark of the Winterfest celebration. Voted "Festival of the Year" three times by the Southeast Tourism Society and "Top Event in the United States for 2003" by the American Bus Association, Winterfest offers something for the entire family!

SEVIERVILLE:

Sevierville opens the county wide festival on November 1st from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce. "Music, Lights and Magic" is this year's theme for Sevierville which will feature hundreds of performers, holiday music, local entertainment, food and children's activities. Sevierville Mayor Brian Atchley and other local dignitaries will serve as the master of ceremonies for the event. Santa Claus will be there taking early Christmas orders from the children, as well as posing for photos. Local band Rock-It will perform on the outdoor stage at the Sevierville Municipal Complex.

PIGEON FORGE:

Pigeon Forge gets under way on November 4th at 5 p.m. at Patriot Park. Debbie Reynolds, this years special guest, will sign autographs at the Pigeon Forge Welcome Center from Noon to 1 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. Miss Reynolds will flip the switch to more than 5 million lights and displays. Local performers, including music theater acts, will provide live entertainment beginning at 5 p.m.

Nov. 5 - December 30 - Winterfest Trolley Tour of Lights - Patriot Park - View spectacular displays and local landmarks from the comfort of the heated trolleys, departing from Patriot Park. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Admission $4.00 per person. Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. For information call the Trolley Office at 865-453-6444.

Nov. 6 - Dec. 30 - Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas - Activities include Santa's Workshop, an interactive adventure to the North Pole, "Twas the Night Before Christmas", a musical stage show, the production of "O' Holy Night", a living nativity pageant, The Christmas Parade with lighted floats, "Christmas in the Smokies", the local favorite and largest show at Celebrity Theater, over 3 million colorful lights, and holiday buffets at Aunt Granny's and Miss Lillian's restaurants. Gatlinburg kicks off Winterfest on November 3rd from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. beginning with it's annual Chili cook-off along River Rd. This year will feature 3 musical groups, including the Joe Pope Tams at Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies plaza from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and continuing again at 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., chili cook-off winners are announced, a huge fireworks display show and the lighting of the 3 million plus lights throughout Gatlinburg. A $7.00 spoon allows endless chili sample.

Nov. 1 - 30 - Old Fashioned Hayrides - Mountain Mall. Enjoy a hayride through downtown Gatlinburg. A great way to see the fall colors! Departs from traffic light #6 at the Mountain Mall.
