This is a view of some of the higher elevations in the Great
Smoky Mountains National Park.
In this view, we're looking up at the mountains.
This view was chosen because of the bright mosiac showcase
of colors.
Can you imagine sitting on the slope of a mountain with a picnic
of your favorite foods spread on a blanket? You and your special
mate are eating and enjoying the beauty of this view. Can you
breath in the fresh, crisp air?
Nature's jewels cover the mountains in the photo of the Great
Smoky Mountains National Park. The reds are the color of rubies.
Can you see topaz? What other colors can you relate to jewels?
The view is early fall.
This photo gives you a good idea of why the Smoky Mountains
got its name. You might be interested to know that this view is
seen from our offices.
Again, this view is seen from our office. This picture was
taken in mid-October.
This picture was taken the end of October. Throughout the month
of October, we have enjoyed this view. The colors changed daily.
A few days ago, we were eating lunch at an area restaurant
in downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Our seats overlooked the Little
Pigeon River. These ducks were playing in the river, giving us
a show as we enjoyed our meal.
This is another picture of just a few of the beautiful ducks
we have in Gatlinburg. By the way, the ducks have their own crosswalks.
It's quite a sight to watch them waddling across the street between
the crosswalk lines.
Pictured is one of the wide array of historic buildings, dating
back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, scattered throughout
Cades Cove.
One of the many Dogwood trees located throughout the Great
Smoky Mountains National Park. This particular tree can be seen
from Rt. 321 on your way to Laurel Falls.
A view of the Great Smoky Mountains near Newfound Gap at an
elevation of about 4,500 ft. above sea level.
You can enjoy fishing for brown and rainbow trout in "The
Little River" located along Rt. 321 in the Great Smoky Mountain
National Park.
