To Get There:
From the Parkway in Gatlinburg, turn at Light #8 - Airport Road
to Cherokee Orchard Road. You'll see the signs for the Roaring
Fork Auto Tour which is a 5.5 mile one lane paved road. Travel
the Roaring Fork Auto Tour about 4.9 miles. There is a pull-off
and signs giving you directions. |

If you want to enjoy nature's
wonders, but you don't want to hike too far, then Place of a
Thousand Drips is a must on your outdoor adventure.

The Place of a Thousand
Drips is well named. The water falls 80 feet and several streamlets
fall 10 to 20 feet at a time. It is slightly slanted at an approximate
15 degrees. |

To thoroughly enjoy this
beautiful gift the Smokies provides you, please walk around.
You see green, green, green everywhere and sparkling, clear water.
The light plays on these falls giving you the different colors
of the rainbow.
There is a small bench
at the base of the huge sandstone cliff. You can sit for awhile
and let your cares be washed away when you listen to the water
rushing by.
