I received a message today from someone looking for a specific art gallery in the smoky mountains. I think I can send them, you, on a hot trail,but I am not sure yet if this is the correct information. I say that because everywhere I searched, the artist’s web site could not be found. I tried calling his 1-800 number listed but it is no longer active. His site should be http://www.leerobersongallery.com but it looks like the artist let the domain name expire or let it go by accident.

After a vast search on the internet and Townsend smoky mountain material, I ended up using the trusty archive.org. I went there to get an old version of the smoky mountain artist’s website. Please go here http://web.archive.org/web/20050304080246/http://www.leerobersongallery.com/ That may or may not be the correct information, but it is a hot trail to follow. If you find them please let me know here on this blog so that others can find the artists as well. Or if I find them I will add a new post to this post. Happy Hunting.

Hello Lee,
I read your comments in the newspaper about the idea of mass transit in Cades Cove and agree with you tottally. I don't think it has been thought out very much, or the park service would realize how much would be involved in cost and other issues.
I wonder if they have figured out how many people would have to be hired to man a great number of some type of vechicle, plus the large area it would take to park all the cars that would have to be left somewhere. All of these things, plus more I won't get into, will be a great deal of expence.
I am glad someone is speaking out, and look forward to getting a copy of your book.
Hope you are staying healthy and happy. I retired and love it, and am still hiking.

I had about a 30 min conversation with Lee Yesterday--is currently pursuing writting and conservation issues in the Smokies. I am sure those of you who are up there are aware. I wish him well with his new challenges am sure he will be as successful in these endeavors as he was with his ART

I just visited Townsend this weekend. You can buy alot of Lees work ar Dogwood Mall. On Hwy 73 in Townsend Tn. I really enjoyed looking at his paintings,and reading some newspaper clips about him and his work. Hope this will help some of you looking for his work.

I have 3 prints by Lee Roberson I'm interested in finding the value if anyone could assist. They are First Light, The Spring, 1989 and Nightfall,1987. All three have a pink ribbon with Art of Appalachia by Artist Lee Roberson and are matted and framed. They are 15 x 12 and the matt is autographed. We enjoy the pictures and purchased in 1990. In response to the one looking for a place that carries Lee Roberson's art work. There is a place in Townsend, TN called Dogwood Mall that has his work. After he closed up his gallery, he placed his work there. I hope this is helpful.
